We would like to share with you something of the joy with which we have accepted the gifts of monastic life. Here in the high desert of the southwest, we are living the Rule of Benedict, adding to its centuries of wisdom something particularly American and 21st century. The Rule has a taste, a flavor. We who live it seek God in a way that integrates the human with the divine, humor with seriousness, commonsense with inner discipline, and simplicity with growth in love.
